Sac City spent about $20,900 in employee wages + cost of materials, + reimbursement for mileage for training which the city also paid for on Maintenance Department in month of October, 2010
...a department which was able to fix storm sewers and potholes without hiring an extra person

On the evening of November 14, 2010 TSN reported...
...that the Sac City Police Department was involved in a chase north of town. An eye witness wrote in with an account of the event, the details of which have been partially confirmed by Sac City, Iowa Chief of Police John Thomsen.
According to Thomsen, a SCPD officer was attempting to stop a male driver for a traffic infraction. The driver attempted to elude capture via vehicle. At one point, driver stopped his vehicle and rammed the front of the police vehicle, rendering it non-functional. Shortly thereafter the man was taken into custody.
According to Thomsen, the man is not a resident of Sac City, Iowa.
