Sac City Council to consider creation of open burning permit

SAC CITY, IOWA - APRIL 11, 2011

At the April 11, 2011 Sac City Council meeting, the council will consider the creation of a permit that will allow citizens with a "compelling interest" to burn during the eight months of the year in which it is currently not allowed.

This will be handled as an amendment to the current ordinance and will theoretically not effect the current functioning of that law which allows two months in the spring and two months in the fall for open burning of yard waste.
