"Chamber Main Street was notified today that the community is receiving $3,500 from Keep Iowa Beautiful for the North 5th Street project. Coupled with the private donations, funding from Sac County Endowment grant, Mid American Energy, City of Sac City, Trees Please, Sac County Special Projects Fund and Chamber Main Street we have enough funding secured to proceed with the project"

"For all that are wondering, Yes, Danz501 studio will be moving to a different location this fall. We will be located at the former Hub on 5th. Address will be 119 N [5th] Street Sac City Iowa. When all the work is done.. it will be better then ever. See you this fall. :) P.S. We will still be called Danz "501" ha ha :) Enjoy the SUMMER!!!!"

Sac County Sheriff says Sac City woman without valid license injured in accident on Monday
The Sac County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motorcycle accident that occurred on May 30, 2011 at 1:43 PM 3 ¼ mile east of Nemaha on D-15.
According to a press release from the Sac County Sheriff's Department, Sandra Diane Dierenfeld age 50 of Sac City was operating her 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle east bound on D-15 when high wind forced her in to the north ditch. Dierenfeld was said to have received received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Loring Hospital in Sac City by the Sac County Ambulance.
The Sac County Sheriff charged Dierenfeld with not having a valid motorcycle license. The motorcycle received an estimated $1,500.00 in damage.
Nemaha Fire/Rescue assisted at the scene.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
