Passed Away - Kenneth Stoelting

Kenneth Stoelting, age 85, of Sac City, Iowa, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sac City, Iowa, under the direction of Christensen-Huffman Funeral Homes. The Reverend Charles Bettin will officiate, with inurnment to follow in Grant Township Cemetery, rural Pocahontas, Iowa. Military honors will be conducted by Sac City V.F.W. Post No. 590 and American Legion Post No. 195. Friends may call at Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Sac City on Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Beulah Ralph Kelly, age 89, of Sac City, Iowa died on June 1st, 2011 at Loring Hospital in Sac City. Beulah, the daughter of Glenn and Mabel (Ellwanger) Peck, was born on December 19, 1921, in Lake View, Iowa. At an early age, she went to live with her Grandpa Sherman and Grandma Lydia Peck in Sac City. She attended school in Sac City, however; her senior year was spent in Lake View where she graduated with the class of 1940. Beulah continued her education at Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City. In 1941, in Indianola, Iowa, Beulah was united in marriage to Iris Ralph. This family included two sons: Michael and Jonathon.

Beulah worked as an aide at the Park View Care Center and Loring Hospital for several years before becoming co-owner of the Indian Village. Iris died in 1976 and she was united in marriage to Edwin Kelley in 1978 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Beulah was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sac City, the Baptist Women organization and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed collecting coins and doing needlepoint.

She is survived by her son, Jonathon Ralph, and Rick Tafe of East Patchague, NY; sister, Bonnie Raffels of Texas; sisters-in-law: Betty Peck of Germantown, WI and Rosie Kelley of Fort Dodge, IA; and nieces: Linda Whitecotton and Janet McGettich.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son: Michael; sister: Doris Larson; and brothers: Francis and Russell Peck.

Linda Lee Risius, age 53, of Eldora, IA, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at her new residence in Sac City, IA. She had moved to Sac City on May 28th to be closer to her family. Linda was born on December 1, 1957, in Hampton, IA, to John and Jennie (Oelmann) Risius. She lived with her parents in Owasa, IA and graduated from Eldora High School in 1976. She attended Ellsworth Community College in 1983, pursuing her business interests.

She was baptized on September 28, 1997, at Immanuel Reformed Church in Belmond, IA where she was a member and worked as church secretary. Linda also worked in several factories, secretary at various businesses and helped with pony rides on the weekends for a few years, until she became disabled.

Linda enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, crocheting beautiful crafts and playing games on the computer. Her greatest joy was being with her daughter and family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Krystal Weide of Mason City, IA; parents, John and Jennie Risius of Sac City; sisters: Cathy Pehling and husband Allan of Candler, NC and Jolene Rosauer and husband Dave of Sac City; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Delmann; paternal grandfather and step grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. John F. Risius; paternal grandmother and step grandfather Mr. and Mrs. Klaus Gerzma; grandma Esther Wagner; and great aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fischer.
