Wall Lake City Council to create a tree committee

In order to be eligible for a matching grant pertaining to trees, the Wall Lake City Council created a tree committee. At the October 10, 2011 Wall Lake City Council meeting, it was learned that Bill Geake has already volunteered to lead the committee. Rob Germann requested to be the city’s representative on the committee.

It was emphasized that the cemetery in particular is in need of trees.

Wall Lake City Employees to get cafeteria plan in writing

October 10, 2011 – Wall Lake, Iowa
A cafeteria plan, in terms of health insurance, is the concept that there is an array of benefits that each individual employee gets tailor to their particular needs. Right now, the city employees know that they can be reimbursed up to $400.00 per month, but that is not in writing.

City Clerk, Chris Rodman was not ready to present the council with a plan, but wanted to get the ball rolling on getting a plan in writing.
