This was a very hot windy day on a tough course so our times are a little slower but overall we performed very well.

All of our middle school runners continue to improve. Andrew continues to run near the top but he is also playing football so his lack of cross country practice limits him somewhat. Ann Continues to run very well for us and Adrian has improved tremendously earning the top team spot for the first time this year.

Our high school girls are getting close to 100% healthy as we get close to conference and district meets. Emily has a little work to do yet but she is running very well for just her second meet of the year. Lydia ran her first meet and ran far above my expectations so I am very optimistic for her in the upcoming meets. Lauren continues to run very solid for us. She has been the one solid thing on our team all year.

Cory continues to run very well. We need a little more to get to the level he will need to extend his season but he is getting there. James continues to improve every week so his future is looking bright. Kelly has been another runner that improves a little every week and is always solid. Prezley and Colin keep improving each week and are doing the right things to help our team. Alex was able to run his first race of the season. He struggled toward the end with some pain from his injury but was able to push through for a finish.

We have been assigned the Unity Christian District on the 20th which will be held in Orange City. This will be a very tough district but we will continue to work toward everyone peaking here and see if we have enough.

It wasn't long before her image appeared in newspaper coverage of the shooting and even on a national TV talk show, where she was celebrated as a heroic mother who acted in self-defense to protect herself and her young children from men who broke into her home and assaulted her..."
