On April 9th, I submitted a verbal Freedom of Information Act request to the person that I understand to be the record keeper of the Sac City, Iowa Municipal Airport for a copy of, (among other things,) an agenda from a meeting of the Sac City Municipal Airport Commission that was
already held earlier in the week. My request was for a document that was
in plain sight, sitting in front of the person who keeps the Airport's records at the moment of my request.
I was not allowed leave with a copy of the document. I was friendly about this breach of the spirit of the Iowa law that pertains and left without confrontation, apologizing for any inconvenience I may have caused and agreeing to return at a later date.
I will make a second attempt on April 19, 2010 and let you know in the comments if it is successful.
