At that city council meeting, it was agreed that the Sheriff's Department would only bill Odebolt for those hours that they could provide a patrol. According to Sheriff McClure, the Odebolt City Council is very pleased with the service that the Sac County Sheriff's department has provided so far, and would like to continue the contract arrangement as soon as the department is able to hire another deputy.
With The Sac County Supervisor's granted approval for the Sheriff's Department to will begin advertising for the opening. There will be a roughly two month application and period of consideration after which applicants will be given the physical fitness test.
