Sac City Council approves first reading of ordinances to sell portions of Duncombe Street

SAC CITY - The council passed the first reading of the following ordinances:
Sac City Ordinances 2011-224 and 2011-225These ordinances allows for the sale of the described area. They are related in that the first of is the north 30 feet and the second one is the south 30 feet of the same area. The second reading for both of these items is expected to take place on November 28, 2011.

Sac City, Iowa Waste Water Treatment Plant 93% paid for

SAC CITY - The council approved a drawdown of State Revolving funds in the amount of $122,595.31 to pay bills to Snyder and Associates and Erikson’s Constructions in the amount of $11,004.71 and $111,590.60 respectively for work on the waste water treatment plant. That project is now considered 93% complete.

Barb Powell – Bloes and Nick Frohardt were absent. Duane Huster was seated but was not officially sworn into office. Also present were Bill Brenny, Gary Hansen, and Jim Frederick.
