B. Approval of Sac County Young Professional’s Application for a Noise Pollution permit. This will be for a band at the Sac Country Club on June 3, 2011

C. Sac City Council, city administrator, city clerk, and city maintenance head are asked to grade each of the eight engineering firm’s bids for the upcoming street improvement project. This will be narrowed down to the top three and then voted upon at the May 9, 2011 meeting.

D. City Administrator directed to draft an ordinance to implement an open burning permitting process. To be voted on at the next meeting. This is a split vote with Jim Johnston voting against. The ordinance itself will be voted on at the next meeting.

Sac City Council creates a committee to guide the ordinance creation process. Mayor appoints Bob Scheffler, Jim Frederick, and Bill Brenny to serve.
E. Sac City Council has a brisk debate about the use of the gas fund as a piggy bank to finance a new garbage truck. Council votes to buy garbage truck and not outsource for trash services. This is a split vote with Frederick and Frohardt voting against.

Sac City Council votes to subsidize the purchase of the truck funding it 100% from Gas Department funds. This is a split vote with Frederick and Frohardt voting against.
F. Sac City Council lowers fees, increases wages at Sac Aquatic Center

G. and H. Sac City Council updates lifeguard and concession stand worker job descriptions.
I. Sac City Council approves resolution setting campground fees for Riverside Park.

J. Community Garden Program funding eliminated. the service will continue for this season, but not next season. The council takes no action but is asked to start considering if they would like the city to take over the responsibilities that go with maintaining this program next season.

K. Lytton for, Lake View against for now, all other Sac County towns undecided on question of discontinuing contract with Howard Center to process recycling.
