East Sac County brings home the Ridge View Raptors Volleyball Tournament Champion plaque

September 3, 2011
Schaller, Iowa -

Ridge View Raptor Volleyball Tournament Champions

I'm sure that when East Sac County Varsity Volleyball Coach Dave Waggie submits his reports about the how the East Sac County Volleyball team did at the Ridge View Raptor Volleyball Tournament on September 3, 2011 , there will be some technical points that he will tell you the girls need to improve upon, probably along the lines of letting too many points slip by. As a layperson witness to this contest, I can assure you that it was some of the most exciting volleyball I have been witness to in terms of how equally matched the teams seemed to be.

In both the Semi-finals against Ar-We-Va and the finals against Ridge View, East Sac County played some strong volleyball today, beating every team that challenged them.

The finals in particular seemed be a contest between ESC who have turned volleyball into an art, and Ridge View who have a more mechanized style of play seemingly customized to stomp all challengers. Right up until the end, these two teams battled it out, point for point, with the Raiders finally emerging as the champions.

In addition to their wins over Ar-We-Va and Ridge View, they also won their matches against OA-BCIG, Westwood, and Woodbury Central.

Sac City, Iowa -
Attempting to get elected to city government presents unique challenges for citizens who are willing to step up and try. It is your singular opportunity to cross the line from discussing what you perceive to be wrong with city government to actually being the person who WILL, (at least try,) to fix what you think is wrong with city government.
