Property owner wants City of Lake View to pay for ditch cleanout

…Council decides… no.



LAKE VIEW, IOWA – NOVEMBER 1, 2010

The City of Lake View sent Bill Clausen a nuisance abatement letter asking him to clean up brush on his trailer court. Mr. Clausen went a step further and had the adjoining ditch cleaned out because the ditch and the area the city wanted cleaned were tied together for drainage reasons.

It seems to be the city attorney’s opinion that the city does own the ditch in question.
