Sac school board asked to start thinking about how they would like to be guided on new elementary roof

WALL LAKE, IOWA – NOVEMBER 15, 2010

1. Because of the size of the elementary roof project ($100K+) there is a series of steps that need to be taken.
- Public hearing.
- bidding.
2. Project should be bid in February or March,
3. Board asked to consider options for guiding the process.
- Outside consultant guided.
-- Superintendent recommends this method.
-- Will probably cost about 3% of the project cost more.
- Roofing contractor guided.
- Iowa school board guided.
- Self guided.
