East Sac County School bullying update – November 15, 2010

WALL LAKE, IOWA – NOVEMNER 15, 2010

1. High school now training personnel.
- Includes cooks, custodians, aides, etc.
- Training them to know what to look for.
- Instructing them to report bullying if they see it.
2. Middle school now training personnel.
- Includes cooks, custodians, aides, etc.
- Training them to know what to look for.
- Instructing them to report bullying if they see it.
3. Middle school to revisit issue with students.
4. Elementary school attempting to give students tools to deal with bullying.
5. It’s a systemic problem
- Students will be held accountable.
- Superintendent feels they are going in the right direction.
6. Middle school students are instructed as to expectations at the beginning of the year.
- Posters on walls, etc.
