Joint WLVA and Sac superintendent update

LAKE VIEW, IOWA – NOVEMBER 15, 2010

1. 23 football team members received academic all district recognition
- To qualify, you have to have a minimum of 3.35 GPA.
- ESC has the highest number of students who qualified in the district.
2. Enrollment.
- Last year at this time including the two districts enrollment was 979.
- This year enrollment is at 970.
3. David Waggie was presented honored with a plaque for distinguished coaching.
- He was one of only 70 coaches to have received this award.
- He is the only volleyball coach to have received this award.
-- first non-basketball coach.
4. Superintendent pledges continued improvement in recycling.
- Phillips engages in fear mongering.
-- Discusses her own inadequacies with calculator tape recycling.
