Tom Lake addresses the Wall Lake City Council about poor condition of Wall Lake cemetery

WALL LAKE, IOWA – OCTOBER 25, 2010

1. “It looked terrible”


2. Who is in charge of the cemetery?
- City employees do the spraying.


3. How much do you pay for cemetery care and how is that paid?
- Does the council think it looks OK right now?
-- Lake claims he would have been terminated from cemetery in Sac City if it looked like the Wall lake one.
- Sac City cemetery mowed 21 times this year.
- “I’d be totally embarrassed.”


4. Lake suggests a free mowing this fall in exchange for the contract for next year.
- Suggests high bank along road not trimmed except for one time this fall.
- Suggests that some money be held back in case contract not honored.


5. The grass was knee high in August.
- Lake suggests contract points based on Sac City contract.
- Will be bidding contract next year.


6. “I think it needs to be mowed one more time.”
- It should be the person that has the contract that should fix the current problem.
- It seems to have been mowed last sometime before Labor Day.
