AUBURN, IOWA – NOVEMBER 8, 2010

- Minutes of the October 11, 2010 Council meeting.
- Treasurer’s report.
- Claims.
- Payroll.
- Beer permit for Sparky’s.


5. discussion about County League meeting.
- Going to try to get a local legislator to talk.
4. Holiday lighting contest.


6. Clerk’s report.
- County league RSVP.
- MMTG meeting.
-- the city has $10 to $12K invested with them.
- Creation of accurate flood plain maps.
-- Council directs clerk not to attend the meet.
- Fall fest was successful.
-- Revenue was a little over $2,000.
-- Next activity is a food drive.
---Box is at city hall.


- 125th committee.
-- Committee members upset that city clerk wanted to know where the cities money was.
--- Threw money at her.
-- Council decides to set up a policy outlining responsibility for cash.
--- Will make people sign out for the cash.
---- If they don’t bring the money back, then they are responsible for the cash.
-- Council person claims she encountered rudeness when asking where it was as well.
-- Council to invite committee members to a future council meeting at which the policy will be adopted.
-- Committee still using city tax ID, making it the city’s money.
-- Clerk no longer a part of the 125th committee.
-- Clerk asked to continue helping 125th committee.
--- Council feels the committee should come to the council to get permission to use the city clerk’s time.


- Clerk comes up with plan for saving the city up to $17,000 over five years.
-- Council directs her to proceed.
