Tracy Mork, age 44, of Storm Lake, Iowa passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at her home in Storm Lake.
Tracy Lynn Swanson was born February 20, 1966 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Don and Sandra (Warne) Swanson. Growing up, Tracy was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, where she remained a faithful member.

Tracy attended school in Storm Lake where she graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1984. Following high school, she continued her education at Buena Vista College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1988. In 2001, she received her Master’s Degree in Technology.

On July 25, 1992, Tracy was united in marriage to Tom Mork at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with two children: Camryn (12) and Keaton (9).

Tracy was a member of the Alta Education Association. She was the treasurer of the teacher’s union and a counselor for Heart Connections in Boone, Iowa. Tracy was a volunteer for Relay for Life and a Sunday school teacher at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. She enjoyed competing in golf and participating in Ragbrai.

Tracy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was very active in her community where she was a Technology teacher at Alta Community Schools for 20 years. Tracy was a swim instructor and devoted coach for several years, touching numerous children’s lives. She enjoyed listening to country music and singing along. She attended Iowa State University athletic events where she always had a good time with her family and friends. Tracy loved and cherished her family, enjoying every moment they spent together. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, being a hero to all of us on “Team Mork.”

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tom Mork of Storm Lake, Iowa; children: Camryn and Keaton Mork of Storm Lake, Iowa; parents, Don and Sandra Swanson of Storm Lake, Iowa; sister, Angela (Chris) Archacki of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, Steven Swanson of Lakeside, Iowa; parents-in-law, Marland and Jeannie Mork of Denison, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dan (Donita) Mork of Sac City, Iowa; nieces; nephews; extended family members and many friends.

Tracy was preceded in death by her grandparents and brother-in-law, Steve Mork.
