Sac City Council discusses the impact of the community goal setting session

SAC CITY, IOWA – NOVEMBER 8, 2010

1. Mayor thanks everyone for their participation.
- Frederick wishes a larger cross section of citizens had shown up.
2. Citizens expressed frustration to the mayor that the city makes plans, then doesn’t follow through.
- Mayor feels it is necessary to show progress.
3. Hansen liked the fact that a lot of the ideas came from the city employees.
4. Brenny felt the coordinator of the night provided a good representation of an outsider’s view of the items that were listed as accomplishments.
5. Brenny seemed to feel that the coordinator made a good point when he said that needs exceed funding.


6. Top four goals listed.
- Should set up a schedule to review the goals periodically.
- Likes the fact that the “public” had input.
7. Annexation not included in highway 20 transition plan.
