Sac County Supervisors sign N14 transfer agreement with Iowa Department of Transportation

SAC CITY, IOWA – NOVEMBER 23, 2010


1. Approval of N14 transfer agreement.
- The intent is to try to reconstruct N14 from existing 20 to the bypass by 2012.
-- Trying to let the project my march 2012.
-- If anything slows this down, there may have to be a plan B
-- Public meeting planned for January 18, 2010.
-- Might be Highway 71 in the future.
2. Engineers asked to reconsider 71 south of Early due to traffic.
3. The section of N14 between the ramps will be constructed as part of the N14 project, (as opposed to tying it in with the mainline project.)
- N14 as planned will be shifted to the west, which will affect where the ramps go.
4. DOT still needs to obtain right of way.
- Can start buying right of way after January meeting.
- have right of way at the interchange, but not down to existing Hwy 20.
5. Approval of agreement.
