Gary Hansen gives a presentation about a conference seminar he attended to the Sac City Council: Part I


SAC CIY, IOWA – OCTOBER 25, 2010

1. The purpose of the seminar is to help city successfully plan for public improvement projects.
- Bidding, contracting, and managing.
- Can save city money and ensure the infrastructure is built soundly.
- The program specifically covers use of the SUDAS manual (statewide Urban Design and Specifications which the City of Sac City does not current use.
-- Ledford said he will get hold of one.
-- According to Frederick, the SUDAS manual is more for bigger cities.

2. If the council asks an engineer what the engineer will charge for engineering during the hiring process, it disqualifies the city for the opportunity to receive Community Development Block Grants.

3. Hansen and Ledford explain how the FAQs section works.
