LAKE VIEW, IOWA – JANUARY 17, 2011

January 17, 2011 Lake View, Iowa Library Update

1. Supervisors may indicate that they were going to give an increase of between 2% and 3% to the library.
2. Expenses will be at $97K instead of $94K
3. %5K grant from prairie meadows did not come through.
4. There are now 5 internet computers for the public to use.
5. They may sign up for WILBOR.
- WILBOR lets you check out e-books.
- Kind of holding off due to expense.
- Costs about $500 per year.
6. The library will start have to start withholding IPERS money even for very low hour part time employees who are expected to be employed into the future.
7. The library will be coordinating with the Lions to put on an event and help “fill up” a weekend.
