Passed Away - Donald Young

Sac City – Donald Young, 89, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Park View Care Center in Sac City. Honoring his wishes, the body has been cremated and there were no services.

Donald P. Young was born March 10, 1921 in Jackson County, Wisconsin to William and Amelia (Thurston) Young. He graduated from Sac City Public School in 1939 and served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked at Noble Manufacturing.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Wayne Young, James Young and Gerald Young; and special friend, Charlain Cavanaugh. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Daisy Young, of Sac City; niece Janet Watsabaugh of MN; and nephew, William Young of Iowa City.
