LAKE VIEW, IOWA – JANUARY 17, 2011

(city administrator’s instructions to the council)
011711lLVCCDOC0001

Following is the memorandum of understanding for the development of Sac Beach in Lake View, Iowa. At issue is paragraph 11 (second page) which makes the city responsible for installation of storm tile servicing Boulders. Because this is an issue, the Boulder’s development people want paragraph 11 removed so that they can move forward and apply for a “Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy” (RISE) grant from the Iowa Department of Transportation.

A motion by Steinkamp, seconded by Schrader to remove paragraph 11 and address the content of that paragraph in a separate agreement failed with Steinkamp and Schroeder voting affirmative; Laney and Huss voting against, and Foval-North abstaining due to her involvement with the Boulders development group.

A motion by Laney, seconded by Huss to approve the memorandum of understanding excluding paragraph 11 passed with Steinkamp, Schroeder, Laney and Huss voting affirmative, and Foval-North abstaining due to her involvement with the Boulders development group.\
