Early City Council members discuss the new water tower
EARLY, IOWA – JULY 6, 2010
The Early City Council was unable to draw a quorum this month, so design and funding work has been temporarily halted. The members that did show up were able to examine a preview of what the tower will look like.
This drawing is of a 150,000 gallon unit. The Early tower which will look identical will only hold 120,000 gallons
The water tower will be located at the Lutheran Church parking lot.
A second City Council meeting has been tentatively scheduled for July 14, 2010 to sign the paperwork . If the contractors are able to begin on time, the tower should be complete by September or October of 2011.
Lutheran church agrees to sell land to the city.
- $5,000
- Land cannot be purchased until the environmental study is complete.
