Interment: February 18, 2011 at Oakland Cemetery, Sac City

John "Jack" Glass was born August 22, 1930, in Sac City, IA, to Lester and Mildred Glass. He grew up in Sac City and graduated from Sac High in 1948. He attended Business School in Des Moines, IA from 1948-1950. He returned to Sac City and married his high school sweetheart, Bernice Lovejoy Hoover on June 20, 1950. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Jack and Bernice farmed in Sac City for over 25 years. In 1972, they became proprietors of Indian Lanes Bowling Alley for 12 years. They then moved to Lincoln, NE, and were resident managers of Budget Self Storage for approximately 20 years. Retiring in 2004, they moved to Omaha to be closer to their daughters.

Jack Glass, age 80, of Omaha, NE, passed away February 11, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice. Survived by two sons: Mike (Debbie) Glass of Austin, TX, and Jim (Cheri) Glass of Sac City, IA; two daughters: Trisha (Larry) Glass of Omaha, NE, and Kathy (Don) Walsh of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother Jim (Rita) Glass of Omaha, NE; and many extended family members and friends.
