Some Sac City residents without water for three hours this morning
SAC CITY, IOWA – FEBRUARY 16, 2011
According to Sac City, Iowa Administrator Adam Ledford, this morning's water outage in the Southwest portion of Sac City, Iowa near the Country Club was the result of a discovery of a break in a water main in that area of town.
According to Ledford, this was a serious problem and needed to be addressed as an emergency. An attempt to notify area residents was made via an announcement over an unspecified radio station, but due to time constraints, no attempt was made to personally call each affected residence.
The water was shut off for about three hours between the hours of 8:00AM and 11:00AM.
The broken main was repaired, and there no immediate apparent damage has been reported.
