Visitation was from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Lake View.
Funeral service was at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View.
Interment was on February 16, 2011 at Wall Lake Cemetery.

Albert LeRoy Kluver, age 74, of Carroll, IA, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at St. Anthony's Regional Hospital in Carroll.

Albert was born on July 16, 1936, rural Lake View, to Albert and Ruth Irene (Scott) Kluver. He was baptized September 27, 1936 at the Methodist Church in Lake View where he remained at life-time member. He grew up on a farm southeast of Lake View, attended country school through eighth grade and finished his education, graduating from Lake View High School in 1954. Following his graduation, Albert served his country in the United States Army from February 1959 through February 1961 when he was honorably discharged. He earned the rank of PFC-E3 with special honors which included: Marksman Badge (Rifle) and the Good Conduct Medal.

Albert farmed from 1954-1986 in the Lake View area, worked at an auto repair shop in Houston, TX from 1986-1993 and worked at Equipment Brokers in Audubon from 1993-1998 until he retired.

On February 14, 1983, Albert was united in marriage to Darlene Lucille Geary at Lakes United Methodist Church. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed traveling and seeing the country. He was an active member of Lakes United Methodist Church where he served on the church building committee.

Survivors include his wife Darlene; two sons: Steven Alroy Kluver of Manning and Scott Lee Kluver and wife Shannon of Bellevue, NE; daughter Tracey Lynn Flores and husband Jorge of Andover, KS; step-sons Gary Huff and wife Karin of Anita and Jeff Hoffman and wife Tricia of Carroll; 13 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his sister Carol Sieck and husband Darroll of Silver City, NM; many extended family members and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
