Thomas Wiseman, age 68, of Johnson City, Texas and formerly of Early, Iowa died Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Austin, Texas.
Thomas Allen was born October 8, 1942 to Vern and Collette (Green) Wiseman in Denison, Iowa. Growing up, Tom was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Early. He attended elementary school at Sacred Heart Catholic School and later Crestland High School in Early.

Tom worked for his father at Vern’s Market in Early until he moved to Texas where he continued to work in the grocery business. He was a member of the Early Volunteer Fire Department and the Early Jaycee’s. Tom enjoyed football, golf, and NASCAR. He cherished times he was able to spend outdoors gardening, fishing and boating. Tom treasured all the times he was able to spend with his family, especially his children and visits back to Iowa. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish in his memory include his children: Tim (Andrea) Wiseman of Blanco, Texas; Mike (Cindy) Wiseman of Alta, Iowa; Kelle Wiseman of Storm Lake, Iowa; and Cody (Staci) Wiseman of Waco, Texas; grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Dalton, Trevor, and Cheyenne Wiseman; Michelle (Matt) Hamilton; Nicole, Kylie, Montana, and Skylar Wiseman; and Nicholas and Christopher Wiseman; mother, Collette Wiseman of Sac City, Iowa; brother, Don Wiseman of Fredrick, Colorado; sisters: Pat (Dick) Jester of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; Jan Wiseman of Sac City, Iowa; and Kay (Dan) Martin of Sac City, Iowa; Aunt Janet (Bernie) Saggau of Okoboji, Iowa; extended family and many friends.

Thomas was preceded in death by his son, Randy; father, Vern; and brother, Roy Wiseman.
