Sac County Sheriff’s Office investigated two separate motorcycle accidents on Saturday June 11, 2011.

The Sac County sheriff says that at 4:39 PM about 3-miles east of Lake View on Hwy 71/175, Alex Raveling age 24 of Vermilion, SD was operating a 2001 Harley Davidson owned by Julia White of Storm Lake IA. Raveling was headed east when According to officials, he lost went off on the shoulder, causing Raveling to loose control and spin out. Raveling received non-life threatening injuries. Raveling was transported to Loring Hospital in Sac City by the Lake View Ambulance. The motorcycle received an estimated $300.00 in damage. Officials say that inexperience is a contributing factor in this accident. No charges have been filed as of this time.

The Sheriff;s Department reports that a second accident occurred ½ mile north of 350th on Hwy 39 about 2 ½ miles south of Odebolt, IA. The accident, which was report at 8:15PM is said to have involved Jeffery Scott Roth age 38 of Wall Lake, IA, According to officials, Roth was operating a 2005 Harley Davison motorcycle and was traveling south when he lost control and entered the west ditch. The motorcycle flipped over twice before coming to rest. Roth was transported to Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove where he was then airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City with serious injuries. The motorcycle received an estimated $5000.00 in damage, and charges are pending at this time. According to the Sac County sheriff's Department, alcohol may have been a factor in this accident. Odebolt Ambulance, Odebolt Fire/Rescue and the Iowa State Patrol assisted.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
