City of Wall Lake asked not to plant trees along drainage ditch
WALL LAKE, IOWA - MARCH 28, 2011
At the March 14, 2011 city council meeting, a citizen asked for permission to plant trees along the edge of the drainage ditch running through city property. It was reported by Michelle Bahr at the March 29, 2011 council meet that the planting of trees at that site is not allowed. In researching the issue, it was discovered that trees are specifically removed from the edge of drainage ditches every three years.
