IMWCA… making up crap as they go
LAKE VIEW, IOWA – JULY 19, 2010
The Iowa Municipal Worker’s Compensation Association are attempting to impose the following two policies on the City of Lake View, Iowa.
The seat belt policy flies in the face of logic and state code in reference to how workers who frequently enter and exit their vehicles to move it short distances are required to use a seat belt.
According to councilperson Steinkamp, the return to work policy does not address the gray area of what happens in those instances when a worker returns to work under lifting restrictions but voluntarily violates the terms of those restrictions and reinjures.
The council voted to adopt the seatbelt policy and do further research into the return to work policy.
