Auburn City Council exploring multiple deposit formats in an attempt to save the city money
AUBURN, IOWA – JULY 12, 2010
1. Auburn City Clerk goes to bank twice per month.
- Finley recommends deposit by registered mail.
-- Clerk points out that there is a one-day delay utilizing that method.
2. The council decides to look into getting a check scanner and using that in tandem with registered mail for the cash deposits.
3. The goal is to save money by cutting out physical trips to the out of town bank by the City Cloerk.
