East Sac County School Board sets length of initial terms
LAKE VIEW, IOWA – JULY 19, 2010
1. The boards decides to go have one board member up for election in 2011, two members up for election in 2013, and the final two members up for election in 2015.
2. Chuck Brotherton volunteers to be the first person on the chopping block.
- John Scott indicates that it was the reorganization’s intention that the board member who was the appointee, (Rodman) be the first person up for reelection. Then one from each of the two boards in the following two elections.
-- Dr Fiene reminds those gathered that there is nothing statutory in the reorganization committee’s recommendation .
-- Brotherton reminded those gathered that all five members of the current board were elected by the voters.
3. Brotherton declare consensus on feeling that the issue should not be decided immediately.
