Lola Gladys Hausman, age 90, of Pocahontas, IA, formerly of Odebolt, IA, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Pocahontas Manor Care Center.

Lola was born on October 3, 1920, in Schaller, IA, the daughter of William M. and Dollie Olive (Rutledge) Kopaska. She attended country school, grades one through seven in Guthrie Center. After her mother died, Lola finished her eighth grade education in Odebolt, living with her sister Icle Gerry.

On August 20, 1938, Lola was united in marriage to Emil L. Hausman at the Methodist parsonage in Sac City. In 1942 the couple moved to Bremerton, Washington, where Emil worked in the Bremerton Navy Yard until 1945 when they moved to Sac City and Emil took a job with the Iowa State Highway Commission in Sac City. They moved to Pocahontas in 1956. Lola was a wonderful homemaker and wife, providing a comfortable home for her and Emil. She worked outside her home, cleaning homes for others and as a store clerk one time.

Survivors include a close nephew, James Hausman of Ida Grove, and several other nephews, nieces and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dollie Kopaska and husband, Emil Hausman.
