Lake View rescinds Lake View park employee bonus pay policy
LAKE VIEW, IOWA – FEBRUARY 21, 2011
Currently, the City of Lake View has in place a bonus for Lake View park workers that amounts to an extra week’s pay. Before the board on February 21, 2011 was consideration of rescinding that policy.
While agreeing that it needs rescinding, Lake View City Council Person Tim Laney noted that rescinding it at this point might make it look like they were just, “..Bending over to kiss somebody’s rear end that we didn’t need to kiss.”
Mayor Westergaard agreed saying “It looks to me like that’s in capital letters.”
The bonus policy was put into place on September 10, 2010 and was rescinded on the evening of February 21, 2011 unanimously.
