Odebolt City Council and Sac County Sheriff address anonymous complaint about loose dog

ODEBOLT, IOWA – JANUARY 3, 2011

The City of Odebolt received an anonymous letter on the afternoon of January 3, 2011 which Mayor Rex read aloud at the city council meeting. The letter alleges that the dog of a citizen run loose in the mornings and “nips” at the complainant during their morning walks. According to the letter, the dog’s owner is in a pickup following, but does not have the dog on a leash. The city clerk claims that the incident is happening at 5AM.

Sac County Sheriff Ken McClure, who was present for the meeting ended the topic by assuring the council that he would talk to the person named in the letter after the evening’s meet.
