Middle School Girls Take a Couple Wins

The East Sac Raider Middle School girls tangled with a pair of ArWeVa teams on November 29, 2010 and were able to take both contests fairly handily.

The 7th grade game was pretty much decided in the opening quarter as the Raiders jumped out to a 24-3 lead then cruised the whole way to a 56-9 win.
Lexie Berry led the East scoring attack with her 18 points, 10 of those coming in the opening quarter.
Lexi Willson also went double-digits by dropping in 13 for the winners. Ashton Blum added 9 and Kendal Herrig another 8 for East, while 4 each from Sydney Ernst and Bailey Jacobsen rounded out the scoring. Willson was leading rebounder by pulling down 11 big boards.
Berry and Jacobsen each grabbed 4 for the Raiders.
Berry had 8 steals in a good defensive game and Willson took another 7 from the Rockets to help keep them under control.

The 8th graders kept the it a day for East Sac as they were able to put together a 35-19 win. After leading 13-6 at the half, the Raiders pressed the Rockets a bit in the second half and the up-tempo proved to the Raiders liking as they boosted their lead and went on to the win.
Jordan Fischer tallied 16 for the victors to lead all scorers.
Ariana Batz contributed 7 points for East, while Jaylynn Peters and Brooke Odendahl each added 4 and Aubrey Houska and Sydney Schwanz each chipped in 2.
Odendahl led the rebounds with 7, but 6 from Batz and Schwanz and 5 each from Fischer, Peters, and Houska all helped in the game.
Fischer also had 6 steals for the Raiders on defense.
