ESC Superintendent’s Report for December 2010

SAC CITY, IOWA – DECEMBER 13, 2010

1. Discussion about community service day in Lake View, Iowa.
2. ESC will be receiving a check from Iowa Central Community College in the amount of $2,400.
- They have sold the rights to use the tower, and this amount reflects 20% of that rent, will be reoccurring.
3. The superintendent is putting together a committee to start talking about technology and “where we want that to take us.” this committee, if successful, will create a technology plan for the future of the district. It will begin after the first of the year and will be facilitated by the Chief Administrator of the Area Education Association.
4. Superintendent may start looking at creating a Juvenal court liaison for the district.
- In the old days this position was called a truant officer, but the scope of the liaison responsibilities would be larger.
- This would be a k-12 position.
