Minutes of the May 10, 2011 Sac County Supervisors Meeting

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Jack Bensley, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to amend the agenda to hear from the County Assessor. Ayes all, motion carried.

Bob Hawks, the Sac County Assessor, explained to the Board the deadline for filing appeals in the Assessor’s office had been extended to June 6, 2011 due to the tornado damage to property in Sac County and that the appeal board may stay in session until June 15, 2011.

It was moved by Stock and seconded by Hecht to approve a liquor license renewal application submitted by the Carnarvon Inn. Ayes all, motion carried.

Dale Rohe with Ed Feld Fire and Security, discussed a fire detection system for the original part of the courthouse. He will submit a proposal for installation in the near future.

The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects. Ivan Droesler with Kuehl and Payer presented the reclassification schedules for DD 73 and explained the four different schedules for the Main Open Ditch, the Tile Main, the Tile System and the Tile Lateral with an assessment schedule for each.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Stock to tentatively approve the Commissioner’s Reclassification report and set a public hearing for Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at 1:30 pm. Ayes all, motion carried.

With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
