SAC CITY, IOWA - MARCH 28, 2011
The March 28, 2011 meeting of the Sac City, Iowa City Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Bill Brenny on time at 6:30PM with all members of the council present. Mayor Barb Powell was absent, no reason given.
Brenny welcomed the visitors and invited them to speak freely on any topic as they were addressed by the council. Brenny also pointed out that visitors are welcome to speak freely about any topic during the citizen’s opportunity to address the council, an enumerated agenda item.
Brenny directed the city clerk to take roll call and then asked for discussion regarding approval of the evening’s agenda, the minutes of the March 14, 2011 city council meeting, and the receipts and disbursements for the month of March, 2011. Approval of these items passed the vote with Councilpersons Jim Johnston and Nick Frohardt abstaining because of their absence from the March 14, 2011 city council meeting.
