Minutes of the October 26, 2010 Sac County Supervisors Meeting

The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Dean Stock, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve an application submitted by Iowa Lakes Regional Water to bore a 4” water line under 160th Street, 170th Street, 175th Street, 180th Street, 190th Street, all on the East side of Needham Ave and under Needham Ave on the South side of 175th Street. Ayes all, motion carried. This application was necessary because the water line will be installed in an established drainage district, Number 66.

It was moved by Hecht and seconded by Bensley to approve an application for a tile crossing in the right of way between sections 26 & 27, Richland Twp. Ayes all, motion carried.

Joe Behrens with Region XII Council of Governments, discussed tax abatements for unincorporated areas, changes in zoning law requirements for Sac County and Tax Increment Financing applications in the unincorporated areas of Sac County. No action was taken.

The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.

With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
