Wall Lake City Council hits snag with new contractor
WALL LAKE, IOWA – MAY 10, 2010
According to the Wall Lake city clerk, an agreement that the city entered into with a contractor named Kenny Harms hit a snag when she discovered that Mr. Harms does not have a contractor’s license on file with the state of Iowa. According to the terms of the agreement, Mr. Harms was also supposed to provide proof of insurance, and that has not been provided.
The clerk also asked that the contract be amended to make the city’s financial requirement be due upon completion of the work, rather than in advance.
It was determined that the city could not let Mr. Harms begin work until they have proof of license and insurance.
