WALL LAKE, IOWA – MAY 10, 2010
1. Minutes approved without challenge.
2. One bill mentioned before approval.
3. City clerk gives a detailed reading of the financial report.
- Clarification discussion ensues.
- Financial report clarification discussion concludes.
4. Clerk’s update.
- Annual city wide clean-up update. (2 complaints)
- Summer help has been hired.
- Clerk is working on SFR paperwork.
- FEMA reimbursements discussed.
- Contract with Schroeder’s being written as of may 10, 2010.
- Fault in electrical line located.
- Community building repairs beginning.
- Cemetery repairs almost complete
- Pool painted started, scheduled to open May 29.
- City to send out 6 requests for proposals for governmental audit. RFP’s ready to go. (5 CPA, 1 to state)
- Council asked to review nuisance complaints and bring suggestions to May 24, 2010 meeting.
- League schedule reviewed. Sponsor a meet?
- March gas usage reviewed. (therms, revenue, taxes, etc.)
- Water usage reviewed, (gallons, revenue, etc)
- Sewer usage reviewed.
- Electric usage reviewed. (bought, sold)
- Garbage usage reviewed.
... Detailed explanation and review of electricity numbers.
4. Clerk’s update conludes.
- Additional paperwork requested by council.
- New bridge bill discussed.
5. later on there was a brief continued discussion regarding the electric issue before the council adjourned.
