Passed Away - Bruce "Okie Doke" Cronholm

Bruce "Okie Doke" Cronholm, age 66, of Sac City, Iowa, died at his home on Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Sac City. Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery, Lake View, Iowa. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until service time. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post No. 590 and American Legion Post No. 195.

Born August 31, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bruce Harry Cronholm was the son of John Harry and Doris Augusta (Bolter) Cronholm. He grew up in Minnesota, and made his home in Sac City in 1983. Bruce worked a short time at Sac City Fiberglass, and was most recently employed at GOMACO in Ida Grove in the paint department until his retirement.

Bruce had many interests, including fishing, playing euchre, "beer deer" cruising, and spending time with friends. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Cronholm and Kyle Cronholm, both of Bloomington, MN; his very special friend, Jan Flink of Sac City; three step-children, Heather Remmick and special friend Kerrin Meyer, Shane Manthe and special friend Lacie Rench, and Karen Manthe, all of Sac City; seven step-grandchildren, Cameron, Chase, Colby, Madison, Seth, Ryan, and Ryley; two brothers, Jay Cronholm and Richard Cronholm, both of Minnesota; as well as many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
