M.A.C.H. FEATURES:
1. Automatic live vehicle location software (installation and training is free)
2. The software is set up to handle multiple agencies.
3. Status updates.
4. Allows vehicle telemetry to be accessed by dispatch.
5. Allows dispatching via Instant messaging rendering scanners obsolete.
- Record of instant record = Public record.
6. Shows the location and allows communication with other agencies on the network.
7. Allows customizable alerts, (range, agencies, etc.)
8. Allows attachments to be sent with communications.
9. Allows license plate checks before officers approach vehicle.
10. Customizable buddy lists, (chat rooms).
- Chat rooms =Public record.
11. Built on Google maps and has all of the same search functions of that system.
12. General public can’t access this software.
13. Information can be shared with other states that are using it.
TRACS FEATURES:
1. Integrates with M.A.C.H.
2. Allows the officers to scan information off their driver’s license.
3. Has report (citations, etc.) generation software built in and automatically enters information collected through the scanner from item #12 into those forms.
4. Collects all information gathered and gives law enforcement tools to spot (for instance) vehicle crash trends so that they can make data driven decisions on where to deploy during storms.
1. This system will allow law enforcement to file every single document as a .PDF electronically.
2. 5 of 6 Sac County Sheriff’s Department vehicles will have computers as of next month.
3. Supervisors shown how little help is out there for the Sheriff’s Department on the M.A.C.H.
4. Two BV Sheriff cars equipped with this system at this time and will allow the Sac Sheriff Department to call them for help should they need it.
5. Do undercover cars show up?
