Sac County Supervisors deny raise for CPC employee

SAC CITY, IOWA – NOVEMBER 30, 2010

1. Lisa Bethune asks for raise for new employee
- Makes $11.00 per hour.
- Has a job that is every bit as detailed as the person hired by the engineer’s office who started at hire rate of pay.
- Has had additional duties added since beginning.
- Has been on the job for 6 months.
- Most courthouse employees start at about $10.00 to $11.00 per hour.
- Was hired before the person at the engineer’s office.
3. Is asking for an additional $1,000 per year.
4. Supervisors deny request saying it’s not the right time.
