Visitation: 6 -8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City
Funeral Service: 1:30 P.M. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City
Interment: Following the service with military graveside rites August 26, 2010 at the Oakland Cemetery, Sac City.
Jason Clemens Orth, age 26, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Sac City, died on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at his residence in Sioux City.
Jason was born on January 10, 1984, at Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Max Orth and Kathy Davis Orth. He was confirmed May 16, 1999 at St. Paul Lutheran Church and graduated from Sac City High School in 2003. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy on August 31, 2004 in Norfolk, Virginia, serving his country through August 31, 2008. He was attending Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City where he made the Dean’s list.
On July 31, 2006, Jason was united in marriage to Casey Jennett in Hampton, Virginia. This union was blessed with two children: Abrielle Grace and Max David. He enjoyed being outdoors; golfing, hunting, snowmobiling and working in the yard. He loved spending time with his family and children and helping around the house.
Survivors include wife Casey of Sioux City; daughter Abrielle Grace and son Max David; father Max (Jean Ann) Orth of Sac City; mother Kathy (Boyd) Adams of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Katie Orth of Phoenix, AZ and Melissa Orth of Denver, CO; half-brother Dan (Kristin) Orth of Urbandale; half-sisters Mindy (Darnell) Brown of Eagan, MN and Jennifer Orth of Mounds View, MN; step-brothers Jeff (Melanie) Ross of Lake View and Scott (Stephanie) Ross of Kingsley, IA; step-sister Debbie Ross of Sac City; father and mother-in-law Dave and Denise Jennett of Storm Lake; extended family members and many friends.
His grandparents Arnold and Geraldine Davis and Clemens and Francis Orth, and an uncle Craig Orth preceded him in death.
