ODEBOLT, IOWA – AUGUST 2, 2010
1. Rick Crawford appeared to thank the city for supporting major/minor baseball.
2. Wants new baseball dirt for the old high school field.
- Chuck P ball dirt costs $4,100.00 to $4,200.00 for the field for 100 tons.
- The school board said that they may share the cost.
-- City needs to know what the school board will do, but the school board is waiting to see what the city will do.
--- The council told Mr. Crawford that they would be in favor of entering into an agreement with the school to put new ball dirt on the ball diamond, but they directed Rick to get a solid proposal from the school before they would commit city money.
3. At this time, Odebolt is funding some ball games in Arthur.
