Odebolt City Council gives the OBC the go ahead to apply for matching grants
ODEBOLT, IOWA – AUGUST 2, 2010
The Odebolt City Council heard from Kerry Reinhart from the Odebolt Betterment Committee (OBC)regarding the shelter house project. The council gave him a $2,000.00 limit and the OBC got the job done for $1,500.00. He requested and was allowed to spend the remaining $500.00 on landscaping in the park.
Mr. Reinhart also updated the city council on the status of potential grants for which the city could qualify. Included were grants for landscaping and building demolition. The council authorized Mr. Reinhart to apply for a $1,000.00 matching grant for landscaping.
